In the two days from June 30th to July 1st, 2020, Quansheng organized a "discussion meeting on the appearance, form and structure of the next-generation smart energy meter". This conference, because it is still during the epidemic, invited more than ten manufacturers in the industry, a total of more than 20 experts came to our company to participate in the conference.
The main agenda of this meeting is the following four steps:
1. Discussion on the optimization of the structural parts scheme of the transitional version of the 2020 version of the State Grid single-phase smart energy meter.
With reference to the standard documents of the State Grid Corporation of China and active discussion and design by the participating electric energy meter manufacturers, the 2020 version of the transitional version of the smart meter structure and the structure plan and some details of the smart IoT meter were fully discussed and optimized on-site. Many consensus and design results were obtained.
For single-phase meters, for example, due to the long-distance savage transportation of the meter, the isolation baffle of the existing meter always falls off. In this meeting, everyone agreed to add a reinforcing rib to the inside of the terminal cover to fix the isolation plate. , to prevent from falling off; to improve the anti-DC ability of the transformer and many other issues, all of which were solved at the meeting, it can be said that everyone worked together!
For three-phase meters, for example, two reinforcing ribs on both sides of the left and right lead-sealing screws of the three-phase meter terminal cover should be added to fix the isolation plate; the three-phase electric energy meter with local function, the radio frequency symbol at the bayonet is canceled; etc. Many problems, everyone also offered ideas and suggestions, and finally they were overcome!
1. Discussion on the optimization of the next-generation smart IoT meter structure scheme.
Since the new generation of smart IoT meters has a more complex structure and more powerful functions, it faces many problems and needs to be optimized.
First of all, let’s talk about single-phase meters, such as: cancel the infrared absorption sheet; restore the light guide column to the single form; The problem encountered is that the pins of the management core are asymmetric and need to be fine-tuned; the sealing ring of the management core needs to be optimized again, and the existing method is not convenient for mass production in the later stage; the battery box female seat and the module socket need to be fool-proof design to reduce failures rate of occurrence, and a series of problems.
Let’s talk about the three-phase meter, for example: the spacing between the page turning buttons is too wide, which needs to be optimized and adjusted; the diameter of the sensor mounting hole on the copper strip of the terminal block is adjusted to increase the detection accuracy of the sensor; the problems encountered are, the end button detection button and the button hole The matching gap of the battery box is too large and must be reduced to improve the sealing; the battery box female seat and the module socket need to be fool-proofed to reduce the occurrence of failure rates.
2. Discussion on the optimization of the structure scheme of the next-generation Southern Grid's modular smart energy meter.
With reference to the standard documents of China Southern Power Grid Corporation and through active discussion and design by the participating electric energy meter manufacturers, the design scheme and some details of the single-phase structure of China Southern Power Grid IR46 were fully discussed and optimized on-site, and many consensuses and designs were obtained. results.
Single-phase meter: The external plug of the switch is changed to a horizontal structure. The external plug of the switch is engraved with L and N and is foolproof. The 485 plug is marked with A and B logos and added foolproof. There are a variety of specifications, which can be selected by the manufacturer; the height of the positioning column on the bottom shell needs to be redesigned to avoid related problems such as breakage caused by shock during transportation. Everyone expresses their opinions, and the final problem is solved one by one.
Three-phase meter: The end button is used as a support plate, and the pins on the support plate need to be protected. Isolation is done on the pallets between the phases; the antimagnetic cover of the bottom case is reserved. The anti-magnetic cover plate needs to avoid the external interface of the switch, and the anti-magnetic plate is covered with glue; the pins on the battery box pin seat are changed to sheet metal parts to solve the problem that the pins are not easy to be welded firmly.

After a short meeting in the past two days, the representatives of the watch factories present also offered their ideas and suggestions, and the phased results obtained can be used as a reference for the standard revision of the 2020 transitional energy meter products and the next-generation modular smart energy meter of China Southern Power Grid. The prototype production and post-improvement of the smart IoT meter provides a more complete design scheme.
